It's been nearly 12 weeks since I made my first blog post, and today this post will be my last of the trimester. Coming into the school year, this class was not what I expected it to be, but I'm glad it wasn't because I learned so much more than I ever thought I would. Even though my dad loves to take pictures for big events and parties I never had much experience with photography other than just snapping pictures on my iPhone and using his camera once in a while. I was eager to learn more. I didn't think there were very many things I didn't know about photography. But I ended up learning loads of new information from basic composition techniques like depth of field all the way to using photoshop to retouch images.
Photoshop was also a huge part of the digital photography world I had little knowledge of. We learned how to use photoshop and edit pictures to make them look better or make it look fun and non-realistic Once we had our first lesson though I felt much better about the process. In fact using photoshop became one of my favorite tools of photography.

Starting during the first weeks of the tri we ventured into the shooting assignments. The goal of these assignments were to get us to go out in the world and focus on a subject whether that be nature, people, food etc. here are some of my favorite shots.
In conclusion leaving this class I am taking with me many new photography I never had before. I really enjoyed taking this class and I hope to continue to use these tips and strategies whenever I need them. Thanks OD for everything you thought me, I'm going to miss you next year when I'm at Eastern!!
